We collaborated with multiple labs to estimate associations between big 5 personality traits and hormones (testosterone and cortisol; total n = 3,964). Our registered report is now in press at Adaptive Behavior and Human Physiology. Thanks to Bill Chopik for leading this important project. We look forward to collaborating on more multi-lab projects in the future.
The Routledge International Handbook of Social Neuroendocrinology, co-edited by Oliver Schultheiss and Pranjal Mehta, can be ordered here.
The handbook is an authoritative reference work providing a balanced overview of current scholarship spanning the full breadth of the rapidly developing field of social neuroendocrinology. Considering the relationships between hormones, the brain, and social behavior, this collection brings together groundbreaking research in the field for the first time.
Data collection has begun on a collaborative pre-registered study with a target sample size of 1,000. See more information about the study here.
